These are the terms for using Slow Flora ("the app", "the service"). By signing in, you agree to them. They're written in plain language; please read carefully.
What Slow Flora is
Slow Flora is a quiet diary app for your houseplants. You can record plants, write entries, attach photos, and chat with your plants — replies are generated by an AI model and are creative writing, not real conversation with a sentient being.
Your account
- You must provide a valid email address to sign in.
- You are responsible for keeping access to your email — it's how you sign in.
- You can delete your account at any time from inside the app.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or harm the service.
What you can put into the app
You may add plants, write diary entries, upload photos, and chat with your plants. By doing so, you confirm:
- The content is yours, or you have the right to upload it.
- You will not upload anything illegal, harassing, or harmful to others.
- You will not abuse the AI chat (no attempts to break the model, generate harmful content, or extract instructions).
- You will not spam other users or our service.
You keep ownership of the content you add. You grant us the limited right to store and display it back to you, and to send your messages and plant data to our AI provider so the chat feature can work.
About the AI replies
Replies from your plants are generated by an AI model and are intended as a gentle, creative experience. They are not:
- Medical, psychological, financial, or legal advice.
- Plant-care advice from a horticulturist.
- Statements of fact about you, the world, or actual plants.
Treat them as a slow, playful conversation. For real plant care, please consult appropriate sources.
Subscriptions (when available)
Some features may be offered as a paid subscription through Google Play or the App Store. Payments and refunds are handled by those stores under their own terms. If you cancel, you keep access until the end of your current billing period.
Service availability
We try to keep Slow Flora running, but we can't promise it will always be available. The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee that your data won't be lost — please consider this a diary, not a backup system.
Limitation of liability
To the extent allowed by law, Slow Flora and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
Changes
We may change these terms over time. We'll update the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, notify you inside the app. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms.
